Training Staff Bios
Bob Polizzi, Instructor
Bob is the VP of Business Development and Technical Services for California Hydronics Corporation.
A long standing member and guest speaker of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers) and ASPE (American Society of Plumbing Engineers); Bob has over 28 years experience in hydronic heating, cooling, plumbing and steam applications including design, installation and operation.
Bob also serves as a guest instructor at several higher learning institutions throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Bob Witt, RBI National Sales Manager
Bob has worked in the field his entire career, providing both sales and technical support to HVAC contractors and engineers. He has 40+ years experience with various forms of hydronic heating equipment with an emphasis on copper boilers and water heaters and their application. Additionally, Bob is very strong on the topics of combustion and LEEDS protocol. The Southeast Regional Manager & Training Coordinator for Mestek, his other professional qualifications include:
• Member of ASPE (American Society of Plumbing Engineers) since 1984
• CIPE (Certification in Plumbing Engineering) from ASPE in 1984
• CPD (Certified Plumbing Designer) from ASPE in 2000
• Currently Vice President of Education for the Atlanta chapter of ASPE
Tom Neill, Mestek Application Engineering
Tom brings 35+ years of engineering experience in hydronic heating equipment, with an emphasis on cast-iron boilers and their application. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of the hydronic heating segment from application engineering to training, sales and technical support.
With a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Tom can provide insight on all types of boilers, water heaters, pumps and burners.
George Carney, Hydrotherm KN National Sales Manager
George has been a "field guy" for his entire career, having begun his career as a field service technician for HB Smith Boilers. Since then his 26+ years experience has covered various hydronic heating equipment categories, with an emphasis on cast-iron boilers and oil-burners and their application.
George previously taught night classes at the New England Fuel Institute (NEFI), and is a member of NAOHSM (National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers).
Sabino Piccirilli, Manager, Mestek Technical Resource Department
With a BS in Computer Science, and AS in Energy Systems, and several industry licenses, Sabino brings expert knowledge and 30+ years experience in the heating industry to the topics of service, installation, and application engineering.
He started as a pipe-fitter and superintendent for boiler room cogeneration projects, and has experience as a mechanical sales and service representative for the high-pressure steam industry.
Ted Brown
Instructor Ted Brown brings with him over 38 years of HVAC experience covering all facets of the industry from contracting and wholesale distribution to manufacturer representation and instructor for HVAC and refrigeration seminars.
Ted's concentration for the last 13 years has been in small duct high velocity (SDHV) comfort systems primarily in new product development, marketing and education. From managing and instruction to designing course curriculum and the writing of technical support manuals Ted has an infinite amount of knowledge and is an industry leader in the SDHV market.
